I’ll be honest, we’re not huuuge fans of Indian food, never having been to India or extending beyond a chicken tikka. But after a visit to DOSA BAR in Tel Aviv, we’ll be exploring a whole lot more!
With some excellent online reviews, we stopped by at the DOSA BAR as part of our family Summer Adventure. What really appealed to me though were the vegan AND gluten-free options (my daughter is celiac), and for those of you interested, the place is also Kosher.
It’s not a fancy-shmanzy restaurant, but is definitely very cosy, with plenty of space on the sidewalk (I think there’s only 3 or 4 tables inside).
Putting our trust in the very friendly waiting staff was a great idea, as we weren’t really sure what to order. But after an extremely tasty (and sugar-free) Lassi drink, we were ready for more. And wow, the Dosa that came really surprised us! Full of flavor and stuffed with potato, sweet potato, and marigold, and accompanied by various chutneys, this was the hit of the night!
Continuing on with a Maharaja Thali, which you can see in the pic above, the flavors and colors were really winning us over. The night ended with a gluten-free banoffee dessert and some chai, and yep, we were stuffed!
Highly recommended!
