If you’ve seen and done the usual tourist sites in Tel Aviv, then how about hovering above The City That Never Sleeps in a helium-filled balloon?!?
The newest attraction in town looks like being a bit of a hit with tourists and locals alike, with rides high into the air above Tel Aviv! Spectacular views are guaranteed both day and night, so obviously, don’t forget the camera! And – hint hint – this could become THE place for that special moment, birthday party, work get-together, heck, even a marriage proposal!
The flights (yes, the balloon is registered in Israel as an aircraft and carries Israel Flight Authority safety certification, just in case you were wondering) take off from the Ganei Yehoshua gardens in Tel Aviv and provide an awesome 360 degree panorama of the center of Israel.
The balloon is filled with a safe- to-use, non-polluting helium gas, floats to up to 120 meters, is 23 diameters wide and can carry up to 30 people in every ride – standing room only (there are no seats available). An onboard guide explains all the important views and attractions.
At the start point there is also a visitor’s center that contains the history of balloons from around the world.
There is no age limit but children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets range between 50-75 shekels per person (children under 3 get a ride for FREE) and can be ordered online from the website.
The TLV Balloon operates on Sundays – Thursdays from 08:00 – 20:00, Fridays from 10:00 – 17:00, and Saturdays from 10:00 – 20:00. Note that rough weather may lead to some delays and canceling of rides.
