If you want to forget about the winter chill in Tel Aviv this December (yes, it does get cold in Israel!) and fancy some high dosage culture, then head over to Rothschild Blvd on a Friday afternoon, and HaTachana (Tel Aviv’s old railway station) on a Saturday for some FREE opera! Opera for the masses – that’s what we’re talking about!
It might well be nippy out there (it might not – the beach in December anyone?), but the guys and girls from the Israeli Opera will warm the cockles! They’re celebrating their 27th season with some free shows for the public, out and about on the streets. The shows are short pieces, but well worth checking out.
In Rothschild Blvd the shows will take place on each Friday in December (except for the 30th) between 12:00 – 16:00. At HaTachana, the shows will take place each Saturday in December (except for the 31st).
Go get some opera!
