If you’re a fan of yoga, you’ll want to join the now annual International Yoga Day in Tel Aviv!
This year, it takes place in Rabin Square in the center of Tel Aviv on the longest day of the year, June 21, 2017.
The program in Tel Aviv typically draws thousands of participants who join in several parallel yoga sessions including Iyangar, Ashtanga, Tri-Yoga and Vinyasa yoga. In addition, there’s usually a session of Acro-Yoga and even a yoga session for children.
This year the program starts at 18:00 and at 20:00 there will be an official ceremony attended by the Ambassador of India in Israel, together with a performance of Indian dance and songs. Dr. Rohit Sabharwal, a renowned yoga teacher from the Art of Living stream of Yoga is coming from India in order to lead Yoga Day celebrations. Entrance to the event is FREE of charge.

The International Yoga Day was initiated by the Prime Minster of India, Mr Narendra Modi, and was adopted by the United Nations with a Resolution that was co-sponsored by 177 countries.
