If you’re looking for something a little bit more classy to do in Tel Aviv, the annual Opera in the Park could be your cup of milky tea. Classy AND free!
Held annually at HaYarkon Park, this year’s show (Thursday July 14th) is a performance of Mozart’s Magic Flute.
Last year, Carmen was on the menu, and some 100,000 people turned up. So expect those spots on the grass to get snapped up pretty quick!
The show kicks off at 8:00pm. Our recommendations: get there a little early, bring yourself a blanket to lie on, and also a nice bottle of wine. And picture yourself alone (or preferably with a loved one), chilling out to the dramatics of those opera divas: try to put the 100,000 others around you out of your thoughts!
Just so you know, the Israeli Opera does some good deeds for Opera in the Park, including bringing underprivileged populations and hundreds of disabled kids to see the show.
And don’t forget, it ain’t over til the fat lady sings!
