For the MMA hungry of you out there (we know there’s a fair few!), you’ll be delighted to know that the Bellator MMA world welterweight title fight (Bellator 163) will be taking place in Tel Aviv!
For the first time ever, MMA will be in Israel – and looks set to bring the house down! Expect a BIG audience for this one, with world champion Andrei Koreshkov taking on challenger Douglas Lima. The fight will be broadcast live (on the Ego Total channel) to 140 countries!
Bonus event for local fans is Israeli fighter Noad Lahat (apparently Israel’s brightest star in MMA) taking on Scott Cleve.
The event takes place at the Menora Arena in Tel Aviv on 10 November. The doors open at 17:30. Tickets start at 104 shekels. For more details, call *9066.
The Tel Aviv fight is part of Bellator’s efforts to go global with its live events and take on the UFC brand, and is part of an ongoing tour including dates in London and Italy.
