If you’re heading to Safed (Tzfat) and looking for something just a bit special, head to The Way Inn. You’ll thank me later…
We stopped there for one night as part of our summer adventure, and, what can we say, were completely bowled over!
New to the hotel/zimmer scene in Safed, owners Genine and Roni have created a very special place in the heart of the Old City of Safed, a place that will leave you refreshed and revitalized. From the welcoming drink (not sure what it was to be honest, but it was perfect, see the pic below), to the amazing rooms, to the sumptuous breakfast spread, to the very friendly and helpful staff, you really can’t ask for any more from a vacation spot.
We stayed in one of the family suites, which are all pretty huge and superbly fitted. The artwork, furniture, and little additional touches to each room (including yummy cookies and bottles of water) really is something to savor, and you’ll definitely find yourself falling in love with The Way Inn. We stayed just the one night, but really regret not staying another night!
The Way Inn is also located in a superb spot – a few minutes walk from the Old Artist’s Quarter, with some excellent rooftop views out across the valley. Immerse yourself in one of those rooftop lounge chairs and watch the evening skies with a glass of wine…doesn’t get any better than that!
There is also a special mini-hall for yoga and meditation, and which looks like could be the base for some revitalizing yoga workshops for those of you in need of some stretching and breathing. Not sure you’re going to find a better place to take a yoga workshop, to be absolutely honest!
The pure, refreshing vibe at this place is something to soak in and enjoy. The owners have done a great job of making this a truly special retreat.
Parking is a small issue in the Old City of Safed – but not really an issue here because owner Roni came out to the street and helped us with our luggage. Parking is a quick 2 minute walk away anyway, so nothing too strenuous.
You might have guessed already, but we highly recommend The Way Inn! Perfect for couples looking to get away from it all, as well as families looking for something a little big magical in this mountain top town…we’ll certainly be back!
Just so you know, on our 32-day adventure the kids ranked all the places we stayed at – this was voted No. 1!
