We had the pleasure of staying in the Dan Eilat recently, and can safely say that this Red Sea hotel will be our preferred hotel option on our next visits to Eilat!
From the helpful staff, to the delicious breakfasts (available until 12:00 – perfect for a holiday lie-in!), to the proximity to the beach, the Dan Eilat is one mighty fine hotel (and definitely one of Israel’s best luxury hotels).
If you can, book one of the Suites that come with a terrace and jacuzzi, well worth the extra money (see the view above). Reserving a Suite also provides you with access to the upstairs lounge which offers amazing views of Eilat and complimentary drinks and food. We fell in love with the sushi up there!
Even though we were riding solo without the kids, we checked out the family rooms for future reference, and were well impressed. Though I’m not sure the kids would be staying long in the room with all the activities, and pool fun on offer at the hotel! Anyway, for those of you with two or three kids, a family room will more than suffice.
One thing we should probably mention is that the hotel is undergoing renovations, which will mean goodbye to the dated carpets. But the hotel is adamant that guests aren’t disturbed in any way, and the process will apparently be done floor by floor, with no impact on guests – except for perhaps less availability during peak season.
We were only there two nights but can highly recommend the Dan Eilat. We’ll be back for sure!
