UPDATED FOR 2017
If you love your opera, the now annual Jerusalem Opera Festival is the place to be!
This year’s festival includes an Opera Masterclass, which will take place throughout the spring and summer months, combining tradition and innovation. In total, there will be sixteen events from April to September 2017, in the best venues throughout Jerusalem, including a fully staged operatic production of Puccini’s La Boheme, staged operatic production of Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, the world premiere of opera The Argonauts of Willy Merz, the International Competition, piano concerts, a series of master classes and an Opera-Gala concert.
Spring Concerts – 18, 20, 22, 23 April 2017
The opening event of the Opera festival, homage to Enrico Caruso, will be dedicated to the legendary Italian tenor, Enrico Caruso. Caruso was an Italian opera singer and one of the most famous tenors in history. There will be four opera recitals accompanied by piano where famous international and Israeli singers will perform arias and duets from the Caruso repertoire.
