September is exhibition season in Tel Aviv, and it launches with the annual LovingArt MakingArt event – 3 days of amazing art spread around 60 Tel Aviv galleries, museums, and exhibition halls, with the additional creative juices of 240 local artists.
Now in its 10th year, the Loving Art Making Art weekend sums up a year of awesome artiness in Tel Aviv, and also signals the beginning of a fresh new year. Every year the number of exhibitions participating in this unique event has been growing, as has the number of Tel Aviv artists willing to share their studios and their work to the public.

8 September
Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art, Nachum Gutman Museum of Art, Rubin Museum and 60 galleries, museums, and exhibition halls will be open, free of charge, through 23:00. There are also 3 street exhibitions (mostly art galleries opening on these and adjoining streets) open on Gordon Steet, Rothschild Street, and on Yehuda Hayamit Steet (which will continue down to Yafo Port), 19:00-23:00.
There are also two special events taking place in Yafo Port: Live Music for moving images, and Dreams (the annual exhibition of Gavra Studio, the photography school). There will also be a group exhibition of pieces by Palestinian artists at the Yafo Salon, and an exhibition and live shows at the Container, also at Yafo Port.
9-10 September
240 local artists (including many of renowned art school Bezalel’s students) open the doors to their studios, 11:00-18:00, letting the public meet and get more familiar with their art.
