So this weekend saw Purim festivities hit Israel, and hit Israel big time. Undoubtedly the most fun of all the Jewish holidays, it’s a great excuse to get dressed up (for both kids and adults) and to just let your hair down and party. And then there’s the gift parcels that are given, often between friends and colleagues and even neighbors, usually consisting of various cookies and chocolates – it’s all good!
I had a 4 year old Spiderman roaming the house much of the weekend, accompanied by a 3 year old tiger, while my wife went all feline. The party for the adults on the moshav where I live was canceled, but the kids had their fun day out in the end, in between the rain drops. Me, I just played the burglary victim but still got gloriously drunk…
