As part of our crazy 32-day adventure across Israel, our very first stop was at Among The Cherry Trees (Be’in HaEtzy HaDuvdavan) in Metulla.
Run by Motti and his wife, this is a great little B&B (known as zimmerim in Israel) at the very northern point of Israel, and makes for a perfect base for exploring the area!
There are a number of rooms spread across quite a wide area, so you’re probably going to feel more than enough space, and if you’re with the kids, they’ll have plenty of wide open areas to explore, with some great greenery and shady areas to enjoy. And if you’re not with the family, there are also a couple of very cute cabins for couples, perfect for a romantic getaway.
Our kids loved the place, and it really was a the perfect way to start off our adventure. They especially fell in love with the outdoor jacuzzi, which also turns into a mini-pool, big enough for the smallish kids, and great for adults to just soak in while drinking a nice, chilled glass of wine. The pool looks out across the border into Lebanon, just for that extra little bit of spice!
One of the benefits of staying here is the tasty and rich breakfast which will be served inside your unit, or outside in the yard surrounded with lush blooming vines, cherry trees and plenty of greenery. And yes, the breakfast will keep you going until way past lunchtime! If you do feel hungry, head to the nearby Knaipeh restaurant, an excellent meat restaurant run by Avraham, who will most likely charm your socks off!
