Legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, winner of some 17 Grammy awards and the seller of some 20 million records, is coming to Israel for not one, but TWO concerts in Tel Aviv at the end of November.
He’ll be here performing as part of the Pat Metheny Trio, with Larry Gernadier on double bass, and Bill Stewart on drums. Originally scheduled for the one show on the 26.11, they’ve added another date for the following day, the 27.11. Both gigs will be at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv port.
Tickets will cost between 299-599 shekels (not cheap, even by Israel’s pricey concert ticket standards!), depending on where you sit; seating is limited, as the shows are expected to be in the form of an intimate jazz club. For more info, call 03-6045000.
Pat Metheny first hit big in the mid 70s, and ever since he has been touring, playing some 120-200 gigs every year. The man is known for his many collaborations, including with Herbie Hancock, David Bowie, Lyle Mays, Jim Hall, and Dave Holland…and many others!
Pat Metheny is also no stranger to the Holy Land: he performed in Israel back in 2000.
Here he is, performing a timeless Beatles classic… awesomely relaxing!
