The worldwide phenomenon (OK, the US phenomenon) that is causing crowds of teenage girls (and their mothers? oh crikey…) to go weak at the knees, otherwise known as super smooth teenie bopper Justin Bieber, is apparently on his way to Israel. I don’t know about you, but I’m already excited.
It looks like a number of top producers in Israel are already fighting over the rights to get him performing over here next summer or even around Easter/Pessach time, ever since his Jewish manager, Scooter Braun, declared that Justin B would be coming to Israel. Whether Justin knows about his apparently upcoming gig in the Holy Land is another matter…
The 16 year old teen idol has been quite the star ever since his mother uploaded a video of him belting out some tunes to YouTube when he was 12. He released an album last year which was acclaimed worldwide.
There are some tentative plans to hold a “peace concert” in HaYarkon Park, while other producers are keen to have Justin B perform back to back gigs like Madonna did last year. It’s an expensive project to bring him to Israel, with estimates of $1.5 million being mentioned, roughly half of which will go to Justin.
Whatever happens, we’ll keep you posted. We’ll try not to get too excited in the meantime…
