Benedict is a cute little place that serves breakfast all day, 24/7. That’s right, only breakfast. It’s located on the corner of the legendary Ben Yehuda Street and Jabotinsky. Good food, not too expensive, the place feels almost European in the heart of the action…nice and mellow with some classic Hebrew tunes in the background, but very busy at the weekend. I spent a weekday morning there and felt very sophisticated…
Benedict has a variety of breakfasts:
- Israeli (fried vegetable and eggs fried in tomato sauce and Israeli salad)
- English (bacon and sausages, baked beans and grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and potatoes…oooh lovely! But this is the Israeli version of the English breakfast, watch out for those purple beans)
- French (meat, eggs and vegetables cauldron)
- Texan (fillet steak, home fries and an omelet)
- Benedict also has eggs benedict, of course. Their poached eggs are served with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce on a brioche.
All breakfasts are served with homemade breads (which you should get wrapped up to take home with you) and butter. The dishes are pretty big, you could easily share a breakfast and still leave full. If you’re feeling peckish and fancy a breakfast, look no further.
Address: 171 Ben Yehuda Street
