Wire line up a November concert in Tel Aviv!

wire tel aviv concertBritish band Wire will be hitting Tel Aviv for a concert in early November!

They will be performing at Tel Aviv’s Barby Club on November 2. Tickets are currently on sale for 180 shekels, call 03-5188123 for details.

The band who first formed back in the 70s and were at the forefront of the post-punk scene, is led by Colin Newman, the guy who produced Israeli band Minimal Compact (which featured Bary Sakharov and Rami Fortis) back in the 80s.

Wire have broken up before and reunited, but they still have a big alternative music fan base, especially in the UK. Their debut album Pink Flag is largely recognized as a classic, although they will be here as part of a tour promoting their new album, Change Becomes Us.
