How about this one to keep the kids entertained this summer – the Tel Aviv Lego Festival!
Running through the summer til the end of August, this festival looks like being one of the must-sees of 2014! Perfect for the kids, and for those of you still addicted!
The action takes place at the Hangar 11 complex in the Port of Tel Aviv (Namal Tel Aviv), and runs from 23 July to August 30. The festival is actually sponsored by local retail giants SuperPharm, so if you have one of their membership cards/visa cards, expect a big discount!
What can you expect to see at the Lego Festival?
Well, there’ll be an arena full of giant Lego sculptures, an XBOX arena, plenty of interactive areas where you can get hands-on with Lego, plus, of course, special arenas where you can meet all those old-time Lego faves from Lego Star Wars, Lego Friends, Lego Chima, Lego Ninjago, and Lego City.
Expect to spend a few hours here – perfect for those hot summer days when the kids have had enough of the beach…
The festival will open Sunday to Thursday, and Saturday, from 09:00 – 21:00. On Fridays, the festival is open for a shorter period: 09:00 – 16:00. Early bird ticket prices start at 89 shekels, so grab ’em while you can (the regular price is 139 shekels). Otherwise, grab a Family ticket for 302 shekels (2 adults + 2 children up to the age of 13, also includes popcorn and ice slush drinks).
Again, we have to say that this isn’t a cheap festival, but with three little ones know that you can easily spend 300 shekels on a family outing, once you factor in all the “extras”…
