According to local reports this morning, the mighty Rolling Stones are lining up a June 2014 concert in Tel Aviv!
UPDATE: It’s now official – June 4th, 2014!
The date (June 4 is widely tipped as the date, though there are some legal issues involved with local residents due to the sheer number of concerts happening!) and venue have yet to be confirmed, as negotiations are apparently still to be finalized, but there does seem to be a whiff of seriousness to this rumor – a rumor that has been rolling on for some years we have to say (we mentioned it last in 2009!)…
Expect tickets to cost between 450-650 shekels, but for a slice of genuine rock history, this could be a bargain!
Of course, the Stones would make this summer a massive one for music fans in Israel, with Justin Timberlake, the Pixies, and Soundgarden and now Beyonce confirmed, and others apparently on the way.
