The Commitments, the band from the hit film of the same name back in the 90s, are returning to Israel for FOUR concerts!
Last here in 2007, the band will be performing two concerts at Tel Aviv’s Zappa Club on March 6, and then the following day will be performing two concerts at Herzliya’s Zappa Club. Tickets are priced at 180 shekels, call *9080 for more details.
There are apparently three of the musicians and actors that made up the original Commitments band coming to perform in Israel, but it seems unlikely that Andrew Strong, the original singer, will be part of the lineup.
But it does look like four shows of pure fun and good music, in the cosy confines of the two Zappa Clubs – so go get some!
