Good news for guitar fans – The Brian Jonestown Massacre (The BJM) are heading for Tel Aviv in July 2012!
The American rockers, led by Anton Newcombe, will be in Tel Aviv for a concert at The Barby Club on July 11. Tickets are priced at 179 shekels, call 03-5107070 for details.
The band, first formed back in the early 1990s in San Francisco, are here on a tour to promote their 13th album Aufheben. They may have experimented with their guitar sound over the years (drifting from psychedelic to folk to blues back to psychedelic), but they are still a mighty fine band and well worth catching live.
Some of you might know them for their long-time rivalry/friendship with The Dandy Warhols, which resulted in the award-winning documentary in 2004, DiG!
