Tonight saw one of the 80’s and 90’s biggest and most popular bands hit Tel Aviv for their first time ever! Yep, Tears For Fears came to rock Israel!
The concert took place at the Menora Arena in Tel Aviv, and was a bit of a cracker, as a sellout crowd of mostly 40-50 year olds revisited their youth and some of the tracks that played a major role in their lives! OK, it’s a bit of a cliche, and I probably sound like my father here, but yep, they don’t make music like this anymore!
All the classics were there, including Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Pale Shelter, Change, Head Over Heels, and a cracking encore of Woman In Chains and Shout (see below).
There’s nothing quite like experiencing one of pop’s all-time classics, performed live, in the flesh, by artists you grew up on…
Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal also connected with the audience, mentioning their gratitude for their Israeli fans’ patience, and not quite believing how they hadn’t made it to Israel before. They seemed mightily humbled even by the love shown for them, and hinted they could be back pretty soon!
Great concert – if they do make it back and you love a bit of the ol’ 80s classics, don’t miss ’em!
