The summer is heating up nicely for music fans, with the Sunbeat Summer Global Beats Festival returning after its very successful summer last year.
Sunbeat 2012 will be split over three events, the first happening on Saturday, June 16 at the Alonin Farm in the Jezreel Valley. The second event is planned for July 14, with the final event scheduled to close the summer festival season in September.
An interesting mix of local and international acts are lined up for the June 16 event, including Karolina from Israel, Belgium’s Zap Mama (who perform in English and French mixed up with some African ancestral roots from singer Marie Daulne), and Bauchklang from Austria (an amazing vocal beatbox crew).
It’s good to see some international beats heading once more to Israel, and it looks like we’re going to be seeing a few more of these great little summer festivals in the years to come. ‘Bout time, we thinks.
