American-Canadian singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has confirmed he’s returning to Israel in the summer!
The colorful and entertaining performer will be strutting his stuff on June 3rd at the Ronit Farm Amphitheater, a venue not usually associated with international star names, being located 20 minutes from Tel Aviv, about 2.5 km east of Kibbutz Shefayim.
Rufus was last here in 2008 when he sold out two shows, and this time he returns with a full live band to promote his new album that he has been working on with producer Mark Ronson (another guy who has been to Israel recently!). The album, Out of the Game, is released in April and is not surprisingly supposed to be a lot more danceable than some of his previous work. Sounds very promising!
Tickets are 310 shekels, and if you want to join the After Party at 23:00, you’ll need an additional ticket. For more info call *8965, or check out the www.tkts.co.il website.
