The summer rockfest continues in Tel Aviv and last night saw the amazing Radiohead rock The City That Never Sleeps!
We’re big fans of Radiohead, ever since those early days of Creep and their debut album Pablo Honey. And after last night’s gig, we’re now officially die-hards!
Some 47,000 fans turned up for a cracking show, almost 2.5 hours long, and with many of their classics to keep us fans oohing and aahing…and never mind that Thom Yorke failed to really communicate with the crowd until the latter stages of the concert, the crowd were lapping up the beats!
The two encores went down spectacularly, with Creep and Karma Police to wrap things up. Wow. Just wow.
There was a lot of controversy around Radiohead’s visit, you know, from those who think that stopping bands performing for people is a worthy cause, but as Thom put it last night: “A lot of stuff has been said about this, but in the end, we played some music”.
