Great to see British punk legends The Buzzcocks have lined up a show at the Barby Club in Tel Aviv. Originally formed waaaaay back in 1975, one of the biggest influences on punk, pop punk and the Manchester music scene are heading to Tel Aviv on March 15th. Tickets will be around 139-159 shekels.
Still led by frontman Pete Shelley after some 35 years, the Buzzcocks might just surprise those of you who’ve never had the pleasure of listening to them. You’ve got to love jangly, punk guitar and nasaly vocals from a time long-gone, but they’re definitely worth catching for any real music fan.
Of course, nothing to do with the British TV show Never Mind The Buzzcocks…although show host Mark Lamarr once introduced Shelley on the show by saying without the Buzzcocks “there’d be no Smiths or Radiohead, and this show would be called Never Mind Joan Armatrading!”
Here’s their classic “Ever Fallen In Love”…get ready to pogo!
