Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness, is coming to Tel Aviv!

The list grows and grows…and joining the list of star names coming to perform in Israel this year is legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, otherwise known as the Godfather of Heavy Metal or the Prince of Darkness. Is Tel Aviv really ready for a real, live sinner?! Oh yes, I think it is!

The show is scheduled to take place on September 28, at Tel Aviv’s Park HaYarkon. Prices are still not confirmed, but be sure to pay the usual 300+ shekels. And be sure to wear black!

Ozzy is hitting the Holy Land (for the first time ever), as part of a world tour over the summer to accompany the release of his new album Scream. He’ll also be hitting the likes of Moscow, Athens and Istanbul, plus a few gigs in the USA, where he still commands respect and adulation, partly due to his huge success as part of the MTV show The Osbournes.

As for the fans he has here in Israel, they’re happy as larks. This is one comment on the official Ozzy site:

Lets all sing “war pigs” and kick the asses of the war mongers who divide us and set us against each other! Equal rights, justice and peace to the middle east!

Hear hear!

And here’s a little reminder of Ozzy at his best…
