There’s nothing like a couple of beers, sat opposite a collection of millions of dollars worth of boats, as the sun slowly sinks between the bobbing masts.

Well, you choose the scenario. A few days ago I was snuggled in the armchair (it was a cold, breezy night, I swear!), and quite possibly the next time I’ll go there I’ll be sat outside, watching the sun set. What’s nice about Murphy’s is that you’ve got a bit of everything, and it’s all done with quality.
The best bit is obviously the Happy Hour, which runs between 4pm-8pm. Buy one get one free. Take an Israeli with you and you’ll likely end up drinking his freebie, so that works out very economically! There’s also a collection of some 250 Irish whiskies, so you won’t be short of variety. Food is the usual Irish bar fare, plus a couple of interesting options, such as thinly sliced cuts of Asado (beef), with potatoes and a whisky chaser to wash it all down (from the bar).
The Murphy’s website (in Hebrew unfortunately, but the pictures are nice!). They also have another branch in Modiin, which I’ve also been to. Again, someone’s invested a lot of time and money in these places. Worth checking out.
