Lady Gaga, one of the biggest names in showbiz these days, is set to perform in Israel next summer!
The controversial – and just a little wacky – superstar has been scheduled to perform in August 2012 at the new Petah Tikva Stadium (just a few minutes out of Tel Aviv), with an expected audience of some 20,000. She’ll be performing in Israel as part of her Born This Way promotional tour, a tour that kicked off earlier this year.
There is no news of ticket prices, but we can safely predict prices of 300+ shekels for this one. As soon as we get the details, we’ll let you know. We should also point out that the concert is not officially confirmed but was reported on the Guy Pines entertainment show (probably Israel’s premier showbiz news show): we’re just impressed that the summer of 2012 looks like it’s shaping into a cracker, what with Madonna apparently scheduled to perform, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers also rumored to be lining up two gigs.

And despite what you think of her, the lady can play a mean piano and has a mighty fine voice. Her videos are also worth catching, just for the drama. We’re just not sure about some of the hats and outfits she squeezes into…
