August in Tel Aviv is about to get even hotter – American singer-songwriter Kelis (that’s Kuh-lees to me and you) confirmed that she’ll be performing in Tel Aviv on August 12th, at the HaOman 17 club.
Kelis covers a wide variety of styles, including hip-hop, R&B, pop and electronic dance, though her more recent release, last year’s Flesh Tone album, has her more tagged as a pop /dance diva.
She has a big fan base in the UK, where she has had 9 Top 10 hits, and also picked up Brit, Q and NME awards. Back home (Kelis was born and raised in Harlem), she has also been nominated for two Grammies.
Tickets are on sale now, we couldn’t find an online source, but apparently they can be bought at the HaOman 17 club in 15 Abarbanel St.
