At a press conference yesterday at Dan Tel Aviv hotel, music promoter’s Marcel Avram and representatives from Bluestone PR spoke of the months of hard work taken to bring Bon Jovi to Israel – but GUARANTEE it will happen!
After a busy month for them with performances of the Backstreet Boys and OneRepublic, the promoters are excited to spread some good news out of Israel and had some fighting words for the BDS brigade quoting the lead singer himself as saying “it was not a decision if we were going to play in Israel, it’s a MUST”.
Since the legendary band has not performed in Europe over the past two years, tourists are also expected to flock to Tel Aviv for the show on October 3rd, just before the Succot festivities begin. Die-hard fan attendees will not be disappointed, as Bon Jovi are expected to play at least 22 songs, 15 of which were hit singles, in a two and half hour long set. Israel completes a 13 country tour of Asia with the band flying in from Dubai.
Aiming to create some positive publicity for Israel, Bluestone PR hope that bringing internationally acclaimed music performances to Israel will not only generate bonus buzz but ensures all acts get a chance to tour the country gaining a deeper understanding for the true Israeli culture.
Fifty thousand tickets are expected to go on sale this evening (Wednesday 10th June) with an extra special ‘European’ inspired VIP lounge, complete with cocktails and dinner (1100 NIS). Tickets here: www.leann.co.il
The ever eloquent Marcel Avram, famous for his relationship with Michael Jackson and personal friend of Jon Bon Jovi himself, discussed the singer’s excitement and Jewish “roots” having grown up with many Jewish friends in New Jersey including keyboard player David Bryan Rashbaum . “We’re looking forward to a new adventure starting the new year with exciting acts”.
