The legendary drummer will be performing in Israel for the first time ever. The concert is scheduled for August 22, at the  Mount Scopus Amphitheater in Jerusalem. The show starts at 20:00.

The American born drummer is a highly respected composer, an outstanding percussionist and the recipient of numerous Grammy Awards. Hart’s music is a fascinating combination of western rock and exotic eastern rhythms. He is a musicologist who specializes in world music and his band, the Mickey Hart Band, is made up of musicians spanning a variety of genres and cultures, all of which shape the bands’ unique style.

Mickey and his band will be here promoting their new album SUPERORGANISM, which is released August 13. The album is an amazing combination of science and music, and expect to see Mickey perform a piece featuring the sounds of his own brain while wearing an EEG cap so the audience can visualize his brain activity in real time!

Early bird tickets start at 135 shekels, otherwise they’ll cost you 150 shekels. Quite a bargain for a true legend expected to put on a 3-hour show! For ticket info, see the official site.
