The much acclaimed Blue Man Group, who have taken the world by storm over the last few years, arrived in Israel yesterday for their upcoming gigs in the Holy Land (4-9 June). These bald, blue and crazy performers know how to put on a show (see the clips below for a taste of what they get up to), and have finally made it to the Holy Land as part of their Megastar world tour, after originally planning to perform here in March.
It’s surely another sign that Israel is on course for a sizzling summer of entertainment, what with the range of artists already scheduled to perform(and yes, there are now rumours of U2 getting interested too!). The Blue Man Group’s arrival in Israel has been much anticipated and their scheduled gigs at Tel Aviv’s Ganei Tarucha look set to cause a sensation here too, finally!
The Israel shows will see the Blue Man Group hold workshops for aspiring rock stars, and will also feature 8 musicians who play an assortment of items, from tubes to aluminum pipes, to drums and simple strings. As well as their own original songs, they also feature covers of versions of true rockers such as Ozzy Osbourne and the Who. Expect lots of rhythm, lots of drumming and even the Blue Man Salute – two arms raised in the air. Don’t expect them to speak a word, not while in costume anyway!
