And you thought you'd seen the last of Crocs…

The shoe phenomenon that has divided Israelis (and many other nations!) over the last few years, otherwise known as Crocs, looks set to continue. Despite the parent company’s seemingly “past it” image, they are expanding their outlets by opening two new stores in Kfar Saba and Haifa (they already have 13 stores nationwide, as well as many other selling points).

Crocs Israel was once very protective of its brand, even suing those who dared to sell copies of their product for a much cheaper price. As simple economics takes over, that has all changed, and they are offering lower prices on some of their models, down to as low as 100 shekels ($25).

Their flagship shoe, the clog with the open back, and quite possibly the ugliest shoe ever invented, is still going strong. A fan of the clog I’m not, but I do have a pair of Crocs flip-flops. Very comfy they are too. And my kids have also been bitten, largely due to the clever marketing of Spiderman and Dora branded kids Crocs.

And yes, sit down, relax and take a deep breath. Crocs are moving into the clothing world. Oh boy.

Do you have a pair of Crocs?
