After a long few weeks of rumors, legendary California rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers WILL be performing in Tel Aviv in September 2012!
That ol’ rumor machine has been working overtime recently, with Lady Gaga, Madonna and The Boss also on the list of supposed acts coming to Israel, but this confirmation by the Chili Peppers will hopefully set the wheels in motion for other superstar acts to confirm dates in the Holy Land. The official confirmation can be seen on the Chili Peppers site.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were originally scheduled to perform in Israel back in 2000, but pulled the plug for “security reasons”. They were perhaps more of an attraction back then, but there’s no doubting they are still one of the world’s biggest acts, and the concert will surely sell-out – the Chili Peppers have a huge fan base in Israel.
The concert will take place in HaYarkon Park on 10th September. Tickets went on sale last night, and prices start at 320 shekels (limited quantity), and range from 390 (regular price) to 1200 (VIP) shekels. For more info about tickets, call *8965.
