The one and only Liza Minnelli has apparently confirmed she’s coming to perform in Israel, as part of the Cameri Theater’s production of Cabaret in November!
She apparently accepted an invitation from the Israeli production team to relive her finest moment (she won an Oscar for her performance as nightclub singer Sally Bowles in the 1972 Cabaret movie) and is scheduled to give a number of performances.
Now 65, there’s no doubting Kiza Minnelli’s still one of the biggest names in showbiz to draw the crowds…she might not quite have the voice of days gone past, or the looks that made her such a star (looking at those pics from the 60s and 70s, she was a hottie!), but there’s nothing like watching a genuine legend strut his/her stuff…
At the moment there are no confirmed dates, but as soon as we hear about them we’ll get them to you! This could be one of the fastest selling shows of the year!
In addition, the Cameri Theater has plans to name its rehearsal hall in memory of Liza’s father, the movie director Vincent Minnelli. Her mother was, of course, the legendary actress Judy Garland.
If you were wondering if she’s still got it, take a look at a performance from earlier this year…
