Swedish rockers Roxette, pretty darned huge in the late 80s/early 90s, revealed yesterday that they will be performing in Tel Aviv in October. They’ll be here as part of their world tour for their 8th album, Charm School. You can catch them at the Exhibition Grounds in Rokach Street on 22nd October.
At the peak of their success Roxette were one of the biggest bands in the world, and the 60 million album sales worldwide kind of confirm that. Their songs still get a lot of airtim
e on the radio, even in Israel, and two of their biggest hits Listen to your heart and It must have been love have both won BMI awards for achieving four million plays. That’s a lot of airtime!
