Bon Jovi confirm they’re coming to Israel

UPDATE: They are coming on 27th April and will be playing at the Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa. Livin’ on a prayer, baby!

After many rumors and a number of deals that apparently almost brought rock legends Bon Jovi to Israel, Jon Bon Jovi finally confirmed this week what many music fans in Israel have been waiting to hear for a looong time – they are coming to Israel in 2011.

It will be their first ever visit to the Holy Land, as confirmed by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi in an interview with legendary CNN talk show host Larry King.

There are currently no confirmed details, other than John Bon Jovi’s comments that they will be performing in the “Olympic Stadium”. Seeing as Israel doesn’t have an Olympic Stadium, it probably means either HaYarkon Park or Ramat Gan stadium, the only real two venues that can cater to the huge audience that will undoubtedly turn up. Tickets will almost certainly start at a minimum of 300-350 shekels.

They are currently on a world tour promoting their new album “The Circle”, but I’m sure they’ll throw in a few of their classics for the Israel show.

What with Justin Bieber also on his way to Israel, expect the screams to reach fever pitch during 2011…
