Get yer skates on – Jerusalem On Ice hits the Holy City!

Jerusalem On IceJerusalem on Ice (also known in Hebrew as YambaKerach) is coming to town!

For those of you who love your ice and your winter sports, head to Jerusalem’s renovated First Station between March 3April 22 (especially great for the Purim and Passover holidays, what with the kids on holiday and all).

Just as the winter chill subsides and thoughts start turning to how to keep cool, this is your destination if you’re looking for fun for all the family and want to stick some ice-skates on. The huge air-conditioned ice rink complex, set to be around 600 square meters, will cater for big and little kids, with special Seals to help the littluns (and their parents) and Penguins for the bigger kids. Not sure exactly how that works, but hey, sounds promising. There will also be special instructors to assist where needed.

Jerusalem on Ice looks great for all, whether you’re a tourist, a Mom & Dad, a school group, or even a professional hockey team. The only thing we’re left wondering is what has happened to the annual Jerusalem Ice Festival, which typically takes place at the same time and has proven very popular in the last couple of years.

Coming in tandem with the ice rink, there will also be circus performances from the Florentine Circus – the Circus of Fire and Water, where fire meets water on stage in a spectacular and hypnotic show for the entire family, starring the Florentine Circus and other international acts. This runs from April 10 – April 22 only.

Ice rink opening hours: 14:00 – 21:00

During the Purim and Passover vacations:  9:00 – 23:00

Tickets: Child/Adult – 40 shekels, Groups – 35 shekels
