The legendary Burning Man event, an annual exercise in temporary communities dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance, now has an Israeli version – Octoburn!
As with the American version, just recently held in the Nevada desert, Octoburn gives you the chance to create, share, dream, gift, express, build, and take part…
Octoburn, which will take place at HaBonim beach on 4-6 October (one of the very best beaches in Israel), will be pretty much what the participants make of it, as all are invited to create their own “camps” and their own events. So, if you feel like teaching yoga, go teach. If you feel like holding a story hour for kids, go read!
As the organizers put it: picture the beach as an empty canvas for you to paint on.
There’ll also be a chillout zone for everybody, plus a dance area, and of course, the LaLa Bar…
The event is FREE for everybody, though donations are more than welcome, as are volunteers, and other beach equipment such as shades or coolers.
