Psychedelic rock legends Jefferson Starship have confirmed they’ll be performing a concert in Tel Aviv this coming September!
The remnants of Jefferson Airplane, who have reverted to their original psychedelic rock and electric folk music rather than the 80s pop hits they are probably more known for, will be making their first ever appearance in Israel. The concert is scheduled for the 4th September at Reading 3 in Tel Aviv Port.
The original lineup of Jefferson Starship (after Jefferson Airplane disbanded in the early 1970s) included a whole roster of musical legends, including Paul Kantner, David Crosby, Graham Nash, as well as Jerry Garcia, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead. Plus, of course, original Airplane members including singer Grace Slick. The only member of that lineup remaining is Paul Kantner, but he has collected a band of musicians that have put on 2000+ concerts together.
