Earlier today, Madonna announced she’ll be performing a second concert at the Ramat Gan Stadium on May 31st!
UPDATE: The first concert planned for May 29 has been canceled. If you purchased tickets for that concert your tickets are still valid. If you purchased tickets for this second concert, get in touch with ticket sellers Eventim on *9066 or tkts.co.il on *8965.
The Queen of Pop will kick off her new world tour two days earlier at the same stadium, and with tickets starting at just 240 shekels (cheap compared to the typical “superstar” concert prices in Israel) it wasn’t much of a surprise to hear that demand for tickets was strong. Looks like the lady and her team have also been listening.
Madonna is also doing her bit for peace in the Middle East, with this second gig being called the “Concert for Peace.” A number of peace organizations will be invited to this show to celebrate and recognize those working towards peace in the Middle East. Bless ‘er, we say.
As Madonna herself put it:
Music is so universal and if there’s any chance that through my performance I can bring further attention and enlightenment to honor the peace efforts in the Middle East and help people come together, it would be an honor for me. It is my way of thanking those who are making so much effort toward bringing peace to the Middle East.
For more info on tickets, which are still starting at just 240 shekels, see the Eventim website (or call: *9066).
