Wine Tours

israel wine tourFor wine lovers, we have three incredible Israel wine tours! Enjoy truly delicious wine from one of the oldest wine regions in the world, plus tours of the fertile wine-making regions of northern Israel – with plenty of wine tastings along the way!

These Israel wine tours might just knock your socks off! The wine tours are all private day tours, including pickup from your hotel/location in Tel Aviv/Jerusalem, with transportation in a luxury SUV.

The tour includes tasting fees at top wineries for 2 guests, with a delicious cheese plate, artisan bread and olive oil at one winery and small snacks at the others, and all tour fees. We have room for 6 guests in our SUV, so if you have friends who also love their wine, they can also join (at an additional cost of only $70 extra per person).

NOTE: We offer evening tours for the Judean Hills and Carmel tours. They run mostly in the summer months as we can show you some amazing off-the-beaten-path vineyards and vista points before it gets dark.

Israel Wine Tour No. 1: The Judean Hills

We’ll take you to the Judean Hills, a region in Israel acknowledged as one of the oldest wine-making regions in the world. And yes, they’re still producing some superb wines! Expect some amazing wine-tasting at 3 different wineries, with expert guidance from our tour guides and the wine-makers themselves.

We’ll also take you to an ancient Israeli wine press which is some 1600 – 2000 years old and still has the original mosaic, as well as some great off-the-beaten-path vineyards and vista points.

Israel Wine Tour No. 2: The Carmel Region

The Carmel region tour visits a 5th Generation Vintner (along with his Adelaide trained wife) who runs a family estate in the Zichron area, as well another winery located on the largest organic farm in Israel (the winery was designed as a green winery by an Italian architect; all the stones lined in the building were found on the farm and these guys only use underground water on the farm) – this winery has been ranked by the famous wine critic Robert Parker with scores over 90 points!

This tour also visits the fantastic Rothchild Botanical gardens and we also stop off for lunch at the delightful Zichron Yaakov promenade, which is also full of some charming local businesses.

Israel Wine Tour No. 3: The Golan Heights

In the Golan Heights, we visit a father and son winemaking team, together with a daughter who studied at the French Culinary Institute in NYC; these guys operate a full on Chateau up in the Golan, which include cabins, a superb winery specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon, and a great cafe). The other winery we visit is the biggest non-Kosher winery in Israel but which is still classed as a boutique winery. This is managed by a husband and wife team; he produces the wine (he was also trained in Adelaide, Australia) and she produces amazing goat cheeses. These guys also operate an antique distillery on the premises.

This tour of the Golan wineries visits several off the beaten track vista points overlooking Syria and Lebanon.

Please note a Golan tour means a 7:30 AM Tel Aviv departure.
