The Loving Art Making Art festival returns for lovers of Tel Aviv art

Loving Art Making Art, Tel AvivLovers of art rejoice – it’s time for the annual Loving Art Making Art festival in Tel Aviv!

This awesomely art-filled event is usually the launchpad for the exhibition season in Tel Aviv,and this year takes place over three days, from the 6th to the 8th of September.

Many of Tel Aviv’s amazing museums, art galleries, artist studios and other exhibition spaces will be free to access by the general public over the 3 days. The museums and art galleries open their doors til 23:00 on September 6th, and promise some great music and dance performances, while the artist studios will be open from 11:00 to 18:00 on the final two days (7 and 8 September).

Some of the highlights to watch out for:

  • Singer/cellist Maya Belsitzman (plus guests including Eran Zur) will be performing at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on September 6th at 23:00 – entrance is FREE.
  • Opening night dance shows and art galleries on Abulafia Street, starting at 19:00, including Peepdance, where the audience gets to peep through small holes at the performers, and a number of unique art galleries in the area.
  • One of the festival’s main exhibitions is Province, which explores art in the public space. Catch this exhibition in two locations: the Saraya compound in Jaffa, and the Einav Cultural Center (located on the rooftop above Gan Ha’Ir) on Ibn Gvirol Street.
