Another great event for all the family hits Jerusalem this August – the 22nd International Puppet Theater Festival!
Expected to be the biggest ever puppet festival in Israel (last year’s event was a big hit!), there will be a number of the world’s leading puppeteers, including top talent from the Far East, Europe and Israel.
The festival itself takes place over 4-8 August, and will be located at the Jerusalem Train Theater as well as additional cultural centers around Jerusalem, including the First Station, the Khan Theater, and Amphitheatre at the Liberty Bell Garden.
There will be a HUGE number of shows – some 125 in total, and among the highlights, expect to see acts from Thailand, the Joe Louis Puppet Theater from France, La Cie Akselere from Spain, Valeria Guglietty from Taiwan, the Taiyuan Puppet Theatre Company from Austria, the Karin Schäfer Figuren Theater from Belgium, the Claire de Lune Théatre from Rusia, and Viktor Antonov and Laura Kibel from Italy.
