Those of you into your chamber music should head to the Red Sea resort of Eilat this April/May – the annual Chamber Music Festival is in town!
The Eilat Chamber Music Festival is one of the most important and respected international classical music events in Israel, hosting some of the very best musicians and ensembles from across the world. This year’s festival, the eighth, runs from April 28th to May 4th, and apart from the usual array of top chamber musicians, legendary actor John Malkovich will also be making a visit!
Malkovich will be at the festival for his first ever performance in Israel of the musical drama The Infernal Comedy, in which he plays the Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger. He’ll be accompanied by the Wiener Akademie orchestra and two opera singers.
The annual festival hosts a number of chamber concerts, orchestral concerts and a variety of other interesting musical activities. And as in previous years, there will be a chance for students from around the world to enjoy study sessions (Master Classes) with some of the greatest musicians around!
And while you’re in town, don’t miss out on some other great Eilat attractions.
See the official site for the full festival program and ticket information.
