The 9th Jerusalem Wine Festival kicks off at the end of July – and if there is a better setting for an awesome wine festival featuring some of Israel’s finest wines, please let us know!
With the cool summery breezes of Jerusalem accompanying your refillable wine glass, and with soft jazz in the background, the grounds of the Israel Museum (read more about the Israel Museum here) really do provide an idyllic environment for wine-tasting…
The Jerusalem Wine Festival takes place from the 30th of July to the 2nd of August, and as Israel’s biggest wine-tasting festival, is expected to host thousands of visitors.
Many of the leading Israeli wineries will also be present, showing their latest and greatest wines to the public. This year’s roster of Israeli wine talent includes:
- Golan Heights
- Galil Mountains
- Odem Mountain
- Boutique Hagalil
- Ella Valley
- …and a whole lot more!
Entry to the Jerusalem Wine Festival costs 80 shekels, which entitles you to a wine glass that you can refill as much as you like. You’ll also be able to buy some of the wine on display for a discount, and if you’ve got the munchies, you’ll be pleased to know there will be a variety of tasty food stalls at the festival.
For those of you interested in exploring the Israel Museum at the same time, head to the festival on Tuesday the 31st of July, when the museum remains open until 9:00pm for guests of the festival. You can then rejoin the festival, bearing in mind it closes at 11:30pm.
