The annual Taste of the Sea of Galilee Festival, known in Hebrew as Ta’am HaKinneret, is an amazing few days of Galilee festivities for the foodie!
Typically held during the week of Hannukah, the festival is truly a celebration of the senses, set in some stunning locations in the Galilee and Jordan Valley, including of course, the Sea of Galilee itself.
The 2014 celebration is the TENTH annual event, and takes place over 18-27 December.
Restaurants and eateries throughout the area will be offering special menus focusing on local products and creativity, and together with that there will be events for all the family, including workshops, small markets, cook-offs in nature, and other tasty events!
For a full listing of this year’s events, see the official Facebook page (only in Hebrew unfortunately).
Some of the highlights we quite fancy ourselves:
- On December 18, the very delish Roberg restaurant will be hosting a special night of tasty treats.
- On December 18, enjoy the Mushon and his Hanukkiah show for all the family, at the Kinneret College.
- There’s just too many to list here, so check out the Facebook page!
