Something a little chilled for those of you in the need – the Zorba the Buddha Festival returns for Sukkot!
The 2016 Sukkot event takes place over October 19-22.
The now annual Zorba the Buddha Festival has fast become a welcome desert retreat for many escaping the hustle and bustle of life. At this festival, expect to enjoy four days of music, love, and meditation. Chill out to the tunes of some great Israeli talent, including Anna RF, Garden City Movement, The Djamchid’ Sisters, and ONOGANA, while taking part in Osho meditation, or losing yourself in wild dancing, or relaxing after therapy. Definitely a festival for those of you that can connect to yourselves, deep in the heart of the desert.
Tickets range in price, from 184 shekels for kids aged 3-12, and 369 shekels for adults. Not cheap, but that’s a four day retreat in the desert, with meditation workshops, live bands, and other goodies. For more info regarding tickets, see the official website (there’s an English section!).
The festival takes place at Desert Ashram, which is situated in the Shittim settlement, right next to route 40, as you drive down to Eilat.
A slice of what to expect…
