If beer is your chosen poison, the eighth annual Jerusalem Beer Festival is the place to be in late August!
The Jerusalem Beer Festival is truly a beer lover’s delight, as there will be an excellent variety of over 120 foreign and local beers on display, with boutique, home-made and mainstream breweries showing us what they’ve got. And watch out for some rather exotic beer flavors, including honey, coffee, banana, strawberry, cherry, caramel and various herbs.
For those interested, there will also be stalls demonstrating the beer production process, plus various food and accessories stalls to keep the munchies away and the shop-happy of you content. If you also bring your dancing shoes, you’ll be glad to know there will be some local bands performing, plus a top DJ spinning some tunes.
The Jerusalem Beer Festival takes place over the 22-23 August at the derelict but rather funky Old Train Station compound. Tickets cost 30 shekels at the entrance (or 25 shekels for students, soldiers and Jerusalem-card holders).
The action kicks off at 18:00 and lasts til midnight each of the two days – but if you really want to enjoy yourself, come early!
Here’s a clip from last year’s festival, just to get you in the mood…
