Israel hates the iPad! No, wait a minute…

For those of you worried about recent reports that you couldn’t bring an iPad into the Holy Land for fear of it being confiscated, worry no longer! That icy stare from the customs guys no longer needs to make your heart race, as it seems that the ban imposed some two weeks ago on importing iPads has now been lifted.

Yep, Israel no longer hates the iPad. The technical issues that the Israeli Communications Ministry had with the iPad are now resolved. So yes, you can show it off on the plane and relax as you approach the Nothing to Declare corridor.

As the Communications Ministry put it:

Following the completion of intensive technical scrutiny, Israel Minister of Communications Moshe Kakhlon approved the import of (the) iPad to Israel. Accordingly, the import of a single device per person will be permitted commencing Sunday, April 25th.
